Tag Heuer Monaco V4: Breathtaking Beauty

Tag Heuer is launching its new limited edition watch Monaco V4 next month to honor its 150th anniversary.

Monaco V4 first appear as a Concept Watch in the 2004 BaselWorld and won the Best Design at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, Wallpaper Magazine’s "Watch of the Year", Popular Science’s "Best of What’s New".

5 years later, the commercial reality of Monaco V4 finally came true. It is the world’s first wristwatch with a linear mass and the first watch with major complications that can be worn in all sports, including extreme sports.

It exemplifies the luxury Swiss watchmaking tradition at its finest not only for their high-tech design, but also for its breathtaking appearance. As fine photos speak far louder than words, now let’s take a closer look on the Monaco V4.

Like other Tag Heuer Monaco watches, Monaco V4 also feature a square face. Every complex surface and dihedral angle is fine polished.

A small second hand distinctively off-centered at 4 o’clock.

There is no reading dial on the watch. This is probably an imperfection of the watch. But since the watch is such a breathtaking beauty, it is said, when you look at it, you sometimes just forget to pay attention to what the time is! So it does not matter if has a reading dial.

The uniqueness of the watch lies in its V4 movement, where the traditional gear part is replaced by an innovative drive belt system which makes the transmission more efficient. The transmission belts can be seen from the front.

Although the watch has been put into commercial production, Monaco V4 is still entirely made in hand. According to Tag Heuer's plan, only 150 pieces of such avant-garde watch will be available, which make the timepiece more sought-after. The watch is estimated to to sold at CHF 100,000.

Actually Monaco is a big watch line of Tag Heuer. Although you may not afford the Monaco V4, you can buy Tag Heuer Monaco replica watches to experience the essence of Monaco V4.
